JULIET’S NURSE: An One-Act Play by Yael K. Miller
Long before “Tootsie” was a musical, Yael wrote her play “Juliet’s Nurse.” The play is inspired by Ovid’s “Metamorphoses,” in particular Ovid’s general theme of creation through violence. The one-act play examines the unfulfilled desire between Juliet and her Nurse and how this unfulfilled desire drives Juliet to act out her role in Shakespeare’s play.
