Professor Johannes Houwink ten Cate discusses the overemphasis on the role of the Jewish Council in the Netherlands during the Nazi occupation, including sharing his views on the new 5-part Dutch TV series De Joodse Raad (The Jewish Council). Professor Houwink ten Cate is professor emeritus of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the University of Amsterdam. He was also the Director of the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies in the Netherlands.
